We have seen this coming—the popular video game franchise Persona has topped video game sales with more than 10 million copies sold. This was revealed on its official website last week.

The latest game in the franchise Persona 5 was released in Japan in September 2016 for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Its release for the US was delayed to April 2017. Persona 5 Royal is scheduled to be released on October 31 in Japan, while the international release will be in 2020.

A stage play adaptation of Persona 5 is also in production and will be showing in Osaka and Tokyo in December.
