‘The Promised Neverland’ Manga will Take a 1-Week Break

Posted in: Anime News

It was announced on Monday in the Weekly Shonen Jump that The Promised Neverland manga by Posuka Demizu and Kaiu Shirai will have a one-week break. This means that no new chapter will be published in the magazine’s next issue on May 20 and will return on May 27 for the magazine’s 26th issue.

The reason for the one-week break is so that Shirai will have time to recover from health issues.

The Promised Neverland was launched in the Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2016. The manga series’ final arc began in September last year. The 13th compiled volume was recently released in Japan on March 4. VIZ Media officially publishes the manga in English.

The manga series’ popularity has paved way to an anime adaptation which premiered in Japan and worldwide (via streaming) on January 10. A second season is also confirmed and slated to premiere next year.
