Corpse Party Game Centered on Sachiko Set for April 10 Release in the West

Brace yourselves for fresh horrors (with some comedy on the side) on your PC, as XSEED Games has just announced the digital release of Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash on PC for Western players. The game will be released via Steam, GOG.com and The Humble Store by Humble Bundle on April 10 and will be sold for $19.99. As a treat to those who will come early for Sachiko’s birthday party, XSEED Games will be offering the game at 10% off for the entire week of its launch.

The game, which serves as a “midquel” to Corpse Party and Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, was first released in Japan for the PlayStation Portable last 2012 under the title Corpse Party THE ANTHOLOGY Sachiko no Ren’ai Yūgi ♥ Hysteric Birthday 2U. Ken Berry, Executive Vice President of XSEED Games, admitted that preparations for the game’s PC port took longer than expected. “We truly appreciate how patient ‘Corpse Party’ fans have been while we took additional time to deliver an experience deserving of the series.”

Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash centers on the murderous (and cute) Sachiko Shinozaki, who will be celebrating her 7th birthday again. To spread (horrific) cheer for her birthday, she decides to gather all residents of the Heavenly Host Elementary School, along with her past victims. This, however, is not an ordinary birthday party with fun and games, as all the guests must participate in a variety of “games” and do whatever it takes to ensure that Sachiko is constantly entertained… lest they meet a horrific end.

Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash is developed by Japanese game developer Team GrisGris and is published by XSEED Games.
