New Fate/Grand Order Anime Releases New Trailer, Key Visual

The highly-popular Fate franchise also made some major announcements at the recently-concluded AnimeJapan2019. One of these is the release of a new trailer for the anime adaptation of its highly popular smartphone game, Fate/Grand Order. The TV anime series will be officially called Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Maju Sensen Babylonia (Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia). You can watch the trailer here, since the trailer posted on Youtube is region-locked to Japan.

The official website of the anime also revealed a new visual which features main protagonist Ritsuka Fujimaru and his servant Mashu Kyrielight.

It was previously announced that the newest Fate anime will be adapting the “Order VII: The Absolute Frontline in the War Against Demonic Beasts: Babylonia” arc of the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game. For those who are not familiar with the game, the Babylonia story is part of the 1st FGO arc, Observer on the Timeless Temple. The 7th Grand Order takes players to 2655 B.C., in the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia.

The FGO anime series will be produced by anime studio CloverWorks (DARLING in the FRANXX, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) and will be directed by Toshifumi Akai (DARLING in the FRANXX). Below are the confirmed cast members for the main characters:

• Nobunaga Shimazaki as Ritsuka Fujimaru
• Rie Takahashi as Mashu Kyrielight
• Ayako Kawasumi as Fou
• Tomokazu Seki as Gilgamesh
• Yu Kobayashi as Enkidu
• Kana Ueda as Ishtar
• Takahiro Sakurai as Merlin
• Yuu Asakawa as Ana
• Kenichi Suzumura as Romani Archaman
• Maaya Sakamoto as Leonardo da Vinci

Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia is set for an October 2019 release.
