Bandai Namco Releases Launch Trailer for One Piece: World Seeker Game

A new One Piece game is set to be released in a few days! Developed by Ganbarion and published by Bandai Namco, One Piece: World Seeker is the newest game in the famous anime franchise. The game is set to be released in Japan on March 14, with the Western release just one day after Japan’s.

To get fans excited for the latest addition to the string of games in the One Piece franchise, Bandai Namco has released a launch trailer for World Seeker. We get to see a preview of exciting battles in the game, as well as a new in-game character named Jeanne, voiced by Ayumi Fujimura (Mineva Lao Zabi in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn). One Piece: World Seeker allows players to play as the franchise’s hero Monkey D. Luffy, where he explores Jail Island and encounters a new enemy named Isaac played by Rikiya Koyama (Emiya Kiritsugu in Fate/Zero). Characters from the TV anime will also make an appearance in the game, such as the entire Straw Hat crew, Akainu, Kizaru, Kuma, Tashigi, Smoker, Sabo, Rob Lucci, and Germa 66’s Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji. The game will also be the first in the One Piece franchise to feature an open world environment.

Most of the voice actors from the anime have participated in the game as well. Key staff from the TV anime are also part of World Seeker, such as Toei Animation producer Hiroki Koyama and Shueisha media supervisor Suguru Sugita.

One Piece: World Seeker is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
