Detective Conan to Release a New Smartphone Game This Year

Posted in: Anime News

Conan Edogawa and friends are set to have a new smartphone game! Case Closed Runner: Race to the Truth is a horizontal runner game that features Conan and other characters in the series revisiting cases from the anime. The objective of the game is for Conan to jump over obstacles, collect points and chase down suspects. Gameplay is very user-friendly, as the player only needs to tap the screen for Conan to execute the commands.

As players clear levels, they also get to unlock special illustrations for different characters, which they can collect and use in the game. Multiple characters will be available, with more to be added as the game progresses.

Besides solving cases with Conan’s amazing deductive skills, players also get to enjoy a visual-novel style story mode, which can be unlocked as one progresses further into the game.

Pre-registration is now open for interested players in the game’s official website. They are currently running a pre-registration campaign, with a set of rewards to be unlocked for players once a pre-registration target is reached.

The game is set to be released under the title of Case Closed Runner: Race to the Truth in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Russia, and Sweden. For Asian countries and some European countries, the game will be named Detective Conan Runner: Race for the Truth. Bushiroad is developing the game which is set to be released this year on both Android and iOS.
