FanimeCon 2019 in California Announces Aya Hirano as Guest

Posted in: Anime News

Heads up to fans from Northern California: this year’s Fanimecon will guest well-known voice actress Aya Hirano! Hirano started in the entertainment industry when she was still a child, appearing in several TV commercials. She famously claimed in a TV guesting that when she was still starting out as a voice actress, she was so poor that she would eat tissues dipped in soy sauce. Her life, fortunately, took a major turn when she was cast in the 2006 hit anime series Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya as the titular character. Playing lead character Haruhi proved to be her big break, as numerous voice acting roles and a successful singing career followed. Since then, she has voiced other famous female characters, such as Misa from Death Note and Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail.

Besides Hirano, FanimeCon has also announced other guests. Cosplay couple Aicosu, composed of Sylar Warren and Sheila Santa Maria, will also be gracing the event. They are set to host the Cosplay Masquerade event and will have their own table at the artists’ alley. Youtuber Jirard Khalil aka “The Completionist is also set to attend FanimeCon, and he will host several interactive panels on his gaming experience and an autograph session as well. Khalil is known for completing all of the games he streams on his channel.

Fanimecon will happen on May 24-27, at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. The convention is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
