VIZ Media Acquires License to Junji Ito's 'No Longer Human' Manga

It was announced on Monday by VIZ Media that they have recently acquired the license to publish Junji Ito’s manga titled No Longer Human. This is a manga adaptation for the classic novel of the same name created by Osamu Dazai.
No Longer Human was first launched in May 2017 in the Big Comic Original magazine. The series ended last April. The third compiled volume of the series is slated to be released in July.

Junji Ito is notable for his horror-theme manga works which have a large following. His other manga titles Tomie and Uzumaki have live-action adaptations. His other work GYO has been adaptated into an OVA. This isn’t the first Junji Ito manga that VIZ Media have previously acquired the licenses to published the mentioned manga titles as well as Frankenstein: Junji Ito Story Collection and Fragments of Horror

Junji Ito will having his first North American appearances during the 2019 Toronto Comic Arts Festival on May 11 to 12 in Toronto, Canada, and also this year’s Crunchyroll Expo which will happen on August 30 to September 1.
