‘Cardfight!! Vanguard EX’ Game to Release this Fall for PS4 and Nintendo Switch

During a livestream presentation on Tuesday, it was revealed by Bushiroad that their popular card game franchise Cardfight!! Vanguard will be having its own video game slated to be released this fall. The teaser video for the upcoming game, titled Cardfight!! Vanguard EX, was also uploaded.

It is confirmed that the game will have an original story as well as a new original character named Izuru Shido. Main characters from the original Cardfight!! Vanguard anime series Aichi Sendo and Toshiki Kai will also be in the game.

Akira Ito is credited for the original designs while Yuki Morimoto is in charge of the game’s character designs. Both Bushiroad and Ito will be supervising the game’s development.

Cardfight!! Vanguard EX will still follow the card game’s standard rules as well as featuring the latest cards and features. Imaginary Gift will also be available in the game. Those who are still new to the game or is still not familiar with whole card game mechanics need not to worry as a there will be a tutorial to help you get started.

Aside from this game, Bushiroad is currently producing an anime spinoff series based the card game’s Bermuda Triangle mermaid idols set. A smartphone game called Cardfight Vanguard Zero is also being produced. The spinoff anime Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale premiered on January 12 in Japan. The anime is licensed by Sentai Filmworks and can be streamed through HIDIVE. The anime remake of Cardfight!! Vanguard premiered on May 5. Episodes are uploaded on its official Youtube channel and can also be streamed in Crunchyroll.
