Good news, Made in Abyss fans in the US! The first in the highly-acclaimed anime’s two-part compilation film, Journey’s Dawn, is getting a US release!

Sentai Filmworks and Kadokawa, in partnership with Fathom Events will be screening Journey’s Dawn in US theaters on March 20 and 25. Fans get to pick which language they watch, as the March 20 screening will feature Japanese audio with English subtitles, while the March 25 schedule will show the English dub. To make the experience more special, the movie will also showcase behind-the-scenes footage, Japanese-created spots and a reflection of how Made in Abyss mirrors fairy tales.

Before the film’s theatrical US release, Sentai Filmworks will host a red carpet premiere event on March 15 at the Regal Cinema (LA. LIVE). Making the event more special will be the presence of director Masayuki Kojima himself together with composer Kevin Penkin, music producer Hiromitsu Iijima and producer Shimpei Yamashita. The red carpet premiere will show the movie’s English subtitled version.

Journey’s Dawn opened in Japanese cinemas on January 4, with the compilation’s second film Wandering Twilight premiering in Japan on January 18.
For those interested in catching Journey’s Dawn, more information on the screening schedules and ticket purchases at the Fathom Events website.
