Sad news for all moonies out there: the franchise’s official mobile game, Sailor Moon Drops, has announced that it will be ending on March 28 at 3:00 AM UTC (March 27 at 10:00 PM EST).

According to the mobile game’s official Facebook page, purchase of Gems for the game is already disabled, but players can still use items or Gems up until the app’s last day. No reason was given for the app’s sudden closure.

Sailor Moon Drops was launched by Bandai Namco in Japan on September 2015, with the English version released to international fans on March 2016. It is the only official mobile game for the Sailor Moon franchise that is available for free to international fans, as Crystal Puzzle is exclusive to members of the Sailor Moon official fanclub.

Sailor Moon Drops tasks the player to solve Candy Crush-like puzzles to level up and gain powers for their chosen Sailor Senshi. The player can unlock wallpapers, images, and new skill items as he/she levels up in the game, with special events that allow one to play co-op with other players.
