Latest ‘Love Live! Sunshine!!’ Movie Earns Almost 100 Million Yen in its First Three Days of Screening!

The hype of Love Live! Sunshine!! is still very much alive as tickets sales for its first three days revealed that it earned around 99,963,900 yen at the box office. The latest film of the franchise titled Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow was ranked #7 in the Japanese box office from January 4-6. However, it was ranked #8 from the January 5-6 weekends in terms of tickets sold.

The cast and staff of the Love Live! Sunshine!! anime returned for the anime film. The film is an all-new work and not a compilation/recap film.

The franchise’s group Aqours will go on a world tour titled Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours World Love Live! Asia 2019. The tour will happen on April 6 and 7 in Taipei, April 13 and 14 in Chiba’s Makuhari Event Hall, and April 20 and 21 in Seoul. Its fifth Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours concert will happen on June 8 and 9 at the Metlife Dome in Saitama Prefecture.
