‘Naruto Shinden’ Novel Confirmed for Anime Adaptation to Air in February!

It was revealed in the combined sixth and seventh issues of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Monday that the Naruto Shinden (The New Legend of Naruto) novel is confirmed to have an anime adaptation. The anime series will be airing for three weeks starting on February 10.

The Naruto Shinden novel was released on May 2 last year. While the other novels in these series namely Sasuke Shinden, and Shikamaru Shinden were respectively released on June 4 and July 4 in Japan. The stories of the series take place in the period when the title characters of the novels are parents.

The original manga creator of Naruto Musashi Kishimoto drew the illustrations of the novels. Naruto Shinden was written by Mirei Miyamoto, Sasuke Shinden by Jun Esaka, and Shikamaru Shinden by Takashi Yano.

The previous Naruto novels were also given anime adaptations in past like Itachi Shinden which aired in spring 2016. Naruto: Sasuke’s Story, Naruto: Shikamaru’s Story, and Naruto: Konoha Hiden – Shugen Biyori were also being adapted into anime from 2016 to 2017.
