Jump Force Adds Black Clover's Asta to its Lineup

Another character revealed for the upcoming “Jump Force” crossover game roster and it is “Black Clover” protagonist Asta.

Announced by Bandai Namco on Friday, he will be joining the following:

Naruto and Sasuke (Naruto)
Goku/SSGSS Goku, Frieza/Golden Frieza, Vegeta/SSGSS Vegeta, Piccolo, and Cell (Dragon Ball Z)
Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Blackbeard, and Sabo (One Piece)
Ichigo, Rukia, and Aizen (Bleach)
Gon, Hisoka, Killua, and Kurapika (Hunter X Hunter)
Yūgi Mutō (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
Yūsuke Urameshi and Younger Toguro (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Pegasus Seiya and Dragon Shiryū (Saint Seiya)
Ryo (City Hunter)
Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)
Kenshin Himura and Makoto Shishio (Rurouni Kenshin)
Light and Ryuk (Death Note)

The game will also be including original characters designed by “Dragon Ball’s” Akira Toriyama> in addition, players can also create their own avatars and for those who have the game’s season pass, they will have access nine additional characters.

In an interview with game producer Kōji Nakajima at E3, it was noted that the game would contain characters who will have their first video game appearance and draw primarily from Weekly Shonen Jump franchises that are based on “heroes” with "superpowers.”

The official description of the game by Bandai Namco Entertainment is as follows:

Universes collide as legendary manga heroes and villains are transported to our reality. Massive battles fill epic locales as good and evil clashes, while humankind hangs in the balance.

The game will be released on September 14 and 15 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for the Americas and Europe then Japan respectively. Developed by Spike Chunsoft, the game is available for pre-order and those who avail it will receive a new Dragon Ball lobby vehicle and three costumes.

“Black Clover” is a shounen fantasy series that began as a 2015 manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It features a young boy who is seemingly born without any magic power named Asta. This is something that is unknown in the world he lives in, yet even so, with his ambition, newfound abilities, and friends, he aims to be the Wizard King. The anime adaptation of the series is currently running and had premiered in October 2017.
