The Cowboy Bebop Café Returns for a Session 2

There is good news for “Cowboy Bebop” fans, the “Cowboy Bebop Cafe” made in a collaboration between GOOD SMILE and Animate Café is making is making a return for a Session 2.

It was back in May that the cafe first made an appearance in celebration of the series’ 20th anniversary. The cafe ran from May 15 to June 10 and became known for serving dishes inspired by the infamously bad food of the series.

For the second run of the cafe, the special menu will be updated with dishes inspired by the Cowboy Bebop movie, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” In addition to this, there will be new gifts and merchandise including coasters, trading portraits, beer glasses, and a framed movie poster.

The dishes to be featured in the cafe include the following:

“Yo Pumpkin Head” Curry

Rocket Noodle

SPACE LAND

“Julia” (Saratoga Cooler)

Asteroid New Year

The cafe has locations in Osaka and Akihabara and will be running until January 15, 2019.

Animate Cafe is an establishment that has become known for conducting different collaborations with a variety of anime. Its main features include character motifs of the anime they feature along with different merchandise. Usually, those who wish to enter the cafe would need to make a reservation. With its collaboration for the “Cowboy Bebop Cafe” though, it went for a first come first serve basis instead.

“Cowboy Bebop” is a space western series that began as a 1998 Japanese anime television series animated by Sunrise. It was directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, written by Keiko Nobumoto and had Toshihiro Kawamoto as the character designer. Other staff included mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane and composer Yoko Kanno.

Set in the year 2071, the series follows the lives of a bounty hunter crew traveling in their spaceship called the Bebop.

“Cowboy Bebop movie, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” a.k.a. “Cowboy Bebop: The Movie” is the first film of the franchise and was released in 2001. It featured Spike Spiegel and the crew of Bebop as they search for a criminal who is planning to release a virus on Mars. Only, they find that there is more to the story than they realized.
