Thoughts on the Story and Characters

A protagonist who turns OP due to her knowledge of the past and another aspect is pretty expected with this type of story. The way that it was handled however holds a different note from other stories. Sure it has the general elements of a second chance story but the way that Jing Yun still develops and studies to reach the genius level she ends up having is a nice touch for her character growth. Simply put, the way that the story develops the protagonist makes for an interesting point and development move with the story.

The same goes the whole space dimension in its delivery in the story. It is presented just enough that it ends up being rather sensible in its placement in the story. Other than the strong character development and sensible use of the fantasy aspect, The overall plot flow and buildup to the antagonists’ retribution was not half bad either. If there was anything to say negatively about the series is that some may consider the retribution parts a bit much given the overall tone of the series. On the other hand, the pacing and direction of the series could be attributed to this given that it doesn’t have a concrete point.

Should you Read it?

For a second chance revenge story that has a touch of fantasy, the series is pretty good so far. The directing and pacing of the story could use some work but the overall handling of the characters make up for it. If you’re a fan of characters getting their just desserts, this is a work that more than excels in that aspect. Overall, it’s got its strengths in terms of characters and plot building but the direction of the series isn’t all that clear given that it just recently brought back the ML for a further introduction.
