Preparations are Set for the Addition of Trainer Battles in Pokemon Go!

Posted in: Anime News

After much teasing, the trainer battles are officially at work for the “Pokemon Go” game. To mark the new addition to the game, details, and images have been released.

In the new feature, there will be Pokémon Go Trainer Battle Leagues known as Great, Ultra, and Master. For each league, there will be different maximum Pokémon CP limits and because of this, strategic planning will be needed rather than reliance on Pokemon with high CP. While preparations are on the go, Community Day is running and players will have a chance at bonuses like double Catch XP, double Catch Stardust, and double Incubator speed for three hours today.

Prior to the announcement of the trainer battles, there was an announcement of a legendary Pokemon appearance for the Raid battles. This Pokemon was Psychic-type Legendary Cresselia and their event began on November 20.

“Pokemon Go” was first released in July 2016 and is known as an augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed and published by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. The game is a collaboration between Niantic and Nintendo by way of The Pokémon Company and uses the mobile device GPS to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, which appear as if they are in the player’s real-world location.

Most recently, the Pokemon franchise released new Nintendo Switch games titled, “Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!” and “Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!” They are role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and are the first installments of the main Pokémon series for the Nintendo Switch.

“Pokemon” is a series of video games and media franchise that first began in 1996 with a game installation for the Game Boy. The series has branched out into a number of RPGs and spin-offs before moving to other genres such as action role-playing, puzzle, fighting, and digital pet games. The first media piece to be released for the franchise was an anime series that began in 1997. Other than video games and media, the franchise has also developed a variety of merchandise.

In terms of media, the most recent addition to the franchise is the upcoming 2019 “Detective Pikachu” film featuring “Deadpool’s” Ryan Reynolds as Detective Pikachu.
