With the release of the official teaser site for the upcoming “Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki”, it has been announced that the female protagonist Monaka Yatogame would be voiced by Haruka Tomatsu. “Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki” is based on the four-panel comedy manga by Masaki Ando and is animated by Saetta in cooperation with Creators in Pack. The story of the series tells of a second-year high schooler named Kaito Jin. He had moved to Aichi from Tokyo and ends up meeting meets Monaka Yatogami, who has a heavy Nagoya dialect. As he joins the photography club, he soon comes to learn more about Nagoya.
As a whole, the series is described to take focus on the daily life of high school girls in the Tokai Region, specifically in Nagoya. From this, there will be a variety of spots and local foods to be featured.
Haruka Tomatsu is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and singer who made her voice acting debut in 2007. She is known to have played different roles including as Asuna in “Sword Art Online”, Lala Satalin Deviluke in “To Love-Ru”, Zero Two in “Darling in the Franxx”, and Haru Okumura in “Persona 5”. For this year, she has also voiced Iris Cannary in “Violet Evergarden” and Mina in “Pokemon Sun and Moon.”
The “Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki” manga was initially something that the author would post on their official Twitter as a pastime. The series then gain a large amount of popularity and began serialization in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic REX in its July 2016 issue.
