The “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” will be having a novel released on December 14. Announced by Shueisha’s website for its Jump j Books imprint, the novel will be penned by Masatoshi Kusakabe, a writer who worked on the “Naruto: Innocent Heart, Demonic Blood” novels.
A title has not been confirmed but it has been noted that the novel will be adapting the film’s story.
“Dragon Ball Super: Broly” is the twentieth movie in the “Dragon Ball” series and the first to carry the “Dragon Ball Super” branding. Set to open in Japan on December 14 after a world premiere event at Nippon Budokan on November 14, the film will be distributed by Toei in collaboration with 20th Century Fox.
Directing the film is Tatsuya Nagamine, the director of the “One Piece Film Z” work. Working on both the script and character designs is “Dragon Ball” creator Akira Toriyama. Serving as animation and art directors are Naohiro Shintani and Kazuo Ogura respectively. Other staff members for the film include:

The story of the film takes place after the Universe Survival Saga depicted in Dragon Ball Super and features the meeting between Goku, and Broly. Seeing how the Saiyans were supposed to have been almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, Broly, an unknown Saiyan makes for a mystery.
More than being the 2oth film of the franchise, “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” is noted for being the first traditionally animated film to feature the eponymous character since 1994’s “Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly.” In addition, it is the first to feature a reworked version of the character as part of the series’ official continuity written by Toriyama.
