Gunjō no Magmell Cast Kengo Kawanishia and M.A.O as Main Characters

The main cast, character visuals, and key visuals are revealed for the upcoming anime “Gunjō no Magmell”/“Magmell of the Sea Blue.”

Based on the Chinese manga by Dainenbyō, the series is a fantasy work which takes place in a world where a new continent named Magmell suddenly appears in the ocean. In result of this, a new age of exploration has begun and different explorers have gone to venture the island to find previously unknown lifeforms and resources. However, these explorers have ended up experiencing disaster after disaster. Thus enters the mysterious young men who make a living as relief workers who aid the explorers.

Directing the anime is Hayato Date, a director known for having worked on the “Naruto” series. He will be working on the film at Studio Pierrot with the series composer behind “Tokyo Ghoul”, Chūji Mikasano taking on the scenario organization. Another staff member noted to work on the series is Yasuharu Takanashi, a composer known for having worked on a variety of series including, “Fairy Tail”, to work on the music.

The announced main cast includes:

Kengo Kawanishi, who is currently voicing Hu Li in “The Voice of a Fox” as Inyō, a young man who provides relief to adventurers.

M.A.O, a voice actress currently voicing the role of Shion in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” as Zero, Inyō’s assistant.

Hibiku Yamamura, who played a role in “Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File” as Geraldine Royer, voicing as Emilia, who commissions Inyō.

Toshiyuki Morikawa, the voice behind Blance in “Banan Fish”, as Shūin, Inyō’s master.

There is no confirmation as of yet when exactly the series will be released.

The “Gunjō no Magmell” was first launched in June 2015 under Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+. So far the series has reached four volumes and has recently published its 73rd chapter on October 30. The announcement of the anime adaption of the series came about in April 2018. At the time only the staff and studio was confirmed for the series and a commemoration photo done by the manga creator had been released.
