A New PV Reveals More Details for Kunihiko Ikuhara's Sarazanmai Anime

The upcoming “Sarazanmai” anime has new details revealed with a new promotional video released on the series’ official Youtube channel along with an update on its official Twitter account.

“Saranzamai” is an original anime television series created by Kunihiko Ikuhara. It was announced on March 6, 2018, during a Revolutionary Girl Utena marathon on streaming service Niconico and is set to be released in Japan on Fuji TV as part of the “noitaminA” anime programming block beginning in April of 2019.

The new promotional video can be found on the official Youtube channel of the series and for those who have been following the progress of the series will find that the latest trailer has revealed a new character named Mabu near the end.

With the official Twitter post, it contained a list of cast and staff with additional members. Ikuhara, who revealed the series will be acting as director. With him as the chief director is Nobuyuki Takeuchi who recently worked on the “Fireworks, Should We See it from the Side or the Bottom?” film.

Working on the series composition is Teruko Utsumi, a writer of the “Dance with Devils” anime. Kayoko Ishikawa, who mainly worked on key animations will be adapting Migi’s original character designs for the animation and also serve as the chief animation director. Composing the music for the series is Yukari Hashimoto.

Other staff for the series includes Katsunori Shibata and Maimu Matsushima for the conceptual design. And Ayaka Fujii for the background art at Studio Pierrot. Taking charge of the animation production are MAPPA and Lapin Track.

The cast for the series are as follows:

Ayumu Murase, a voice actor known for voicing Hinata Shouyou in “Haikyuu!” voices as Kazuki Yasaka
Kouki Uchiyama, the voice behind Yuri Plisetsky in “Yuri!!! On Ice” plays as Yū Kuji
Shun Horie, who is currently set to play a role in “Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue” as Hiroto Yasaka, plays the role of Enta Jinnouchi
Junichi Suwabe, the voice of Undertaker in “Black Butler”, as Keppi
Mamoru Miyano, who recently reprised his role in “Free! – Dive to the Future – as Rin Matsuoka, voices Reo Shinsei
Yoshimasa Hosoya, the voice actor of protagonist Junk Dog/Joe in “Megalo Box”, as Mabu Akutsu
