Tia Ballard and Luci Christian Star in the Bloom Into You English Dub

The first episode of the “Bloom Into You” a.k.a. “Yagate Kimi ni Naru” English dub has been released and its cast list has been confirmed. In addition, the HDIVE streaming service has released a preview clip.

Starring as protagonists Yuu and Touko are Tia Ballard and Luci Christian. Ballard is a voice actress known to have played Mizore Shirayuki from “Rosario + Vampire”, Nanami Momozono from “Kamisama Kiss” and Happy from “Fairy Tail.”Christian, on the other hand, is a voice actress whose more prominent roles include as Ochaco Uraraka in “My Hero Academia” and Mitsukuni “Honey” Haninozuka in “Ouran Highschool Host Club.”

The rest of the cast includes:

Shanae’a Moore as Sayaka
Amber Lee Connors as Akari
Brittney Karbowski as Koyomi
Clint Bickham as Maki
Adam Gibbs as Kuse

Directing the dub is David Wald and taking on the script is Marissa Lenti. Working on the audio engineering are Marshall and Patrick Marrero.

The anime made its debut on October 5 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, TVQ Kyushu, and BS11. Based on the yuri manga series written and illustrated by Nio Nakatani, the series has four episodes released so far.

The story of the series tells of a shoujo manga loving girl named Yuu. She waits for the day she receives a love confession to make her feel like a character from her favorite stories. However, when a classmate admits his feelings, she feels nothing and this results in her feeling lost and confused as she begins high school. When she witnessed the beautiful student council president Nanami effortlessly turn down a boy, Yuu reaches out to befriend her.

The moment another person confesses to Nanami however, Yuu’s heart is suddenly sent aflutter. Is this the beginning of the shoujo romance that Yuu has been looking for?
