The “Attack on Titan” series experiences a delay as the 48th episode, “Bōkansha” a.k.a. “Bystanders” has been moved from Sunday at 0:35 (effectively, October 1 at 12:35 a.m.), to October 7 at 0:35 (effectively, October 8 at 12:35 a.m.). According to the official website of the series, this is due to the news coverage of Typhoon Tami.
Other than the delay of the shounen series, the “Last Hope”/“Jūshinki Pandora” anime’s Sunday event, “Ms. vampire who lives in my neighborhood” anime’s advance screening, and the “My Sister, My Writer” a.k.a. “Ore ga Suki nano wa Imōto dakedo Imōto ja nai: anime’s live-streamed special were canceled. All the listed anime hold a slot on the public broadcasting channel NHK General TV. The noted delays and cancellations as a result of the channel having preempted almost all of its regular programming on Sunday evening to provide updates on Typhoon Trami (also known as Typhoon #24).
More than anime and shows, different locations have also been noted to close early due to the typhoon. These locations include Tokyo Disneyland which closed one hour early at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. And Universal Studios Japan which closed entirely on Sunday. Both locations will reopen one hour late at 9:00 a.m. and regular hours respectively on Monday.
On a larger scale, East Japan Railway Company, the main train operator in eastern Japan, ended service in the Tokyo area early at 8:00 p.m. Like with the noted theme parks, the service will be operating on a normal schedule by Monday morning except for some lines.
“Attack on Titan’s” third season premiered on July 23 with Wit Studio having produced the new season. The staff for the season included:

“Attack on Titan” began as a manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. It was released in September 2009 and is serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine. As of August, the series has 26 volumes released and is still running. The first anime adaptation of the series aired between April and September 2013 and had a total of 25 episodes.
