A Game Adaptation is Announced for Kemono Friends

At a stage event at Sega Games’ Tokyo Game Show booth, an announcement was made that a “Kemono Friends” game is under development.

While details on the fame’s contents and/or platform could not be shared, Sega Games Chief Strategy Officer Minoru Iwaki has reassured that company would be putting all of its efforts into the game. What’s more, it has been confirmed that the game would include voices and it would most likely be in December that more information would be released.

“Kemono Friends” is a Japanese media franchise created by manga artist Mine Yoshizaki. It was between March 2015 and December 2016 that the first product of the franchise was released and it was a mobile game developed by Nexon. Followed after this was a manga by Furai. The series was serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace between May 2015 and March 2017.

This January, the second game by Bushiroad was released for the series and the second season of the anime has been confirmed. The anime’s first season made its debut in January 2017 and ran until March 2017 with a total of 12 episodes. The series was produced by Yaoyorozu had TATSUKI, who previously worked as an animation director for “Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono” as the director and writer.

The story of the series sets in a place called Japari Park, a natural environmental park where there exist many humanoid animals, known as “Friends.” Among these many beings within the Savannah area, there lives Serval. One lazy afternoon she discovers a new and peculiar friend in the area and swiftly takes them down in an attempt to learn her species. Sadly, the new Friend named Kaban has no idea.

With the goal of learning Kaban’s identity, the two set off for the park library. As the journey through many habitats, landmarks, and attractions of Japari Park, the two meet many other Friends, looking into their lives and helping them out. However, in their journey, they also discover that there more secrets to the park than they know.
