Posted in: Anime News

Koji Natsumi’s light novel series Girly Air Force will be having an anime adaptation slated to be released in winter 2019. This was confirmed on its official website on Thursday.

The series (which contains illustrations by Asagi Tosaka) was launched in 2014 and the ninth volume was published and released by Dengeki Bunko last June 9.

The light novel tells the mysterious flying creatures known as Zai suddenly appear, and fighter aircrafts called “Daughters” and the automatic fighting mechanism “Anima” (which were shaped like human girls) were created. The series centers on Kei Narutani who wished to fly to sky and an Anima named Gripen, who is considered as humanity’s trump card.

Ryota Ohasaka and Yuka Morishima are confirmed to respectively voice Kei Nartani and Gripen. They will be present at the Dengeki Bunko 25th Anniversary Fall Dengeki Festival on October 7 along with “special guests”.
