It was revealed in the 34th issue of this year’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Monday that Yoshimasa Hosoya and Cho will be respectively voicing Kiato and Gifso respectively in the anime adaptation of Black Clover. The anime series has just entered the Seabed Temple Arc which follows accurate to the original manga created by Yuki Tabata.
In the series, Kiato is a priest of the Seabed Temple while Gifso is its High Priest. The anime’s 40th episode premiered in Japan last July 10 which featured the new opening theme song “Guess Who Is Back” performed by Kumi Koda and the ending theme song “four” performed by the all-female dance and vocal group, FAKY.
It was confirmed in the official website of the Black Clover anime series that it will have a total of 51 episodes with four opening and ending themes. This was announced in advanced due to the releases of its DVD and Blu-Ray Box Sets. The first set is slated to be released in Japan on February 23 for 17,000 yen for Blu-Ray and 15,000 yen for DVD.
The other box sets are scheduled to be released on May 25, July 27, October 26, and January 25, 2019. Weekly Shonen Jump will reveal the first edition box set extras on its first 2018 issue.
Black Clover is based from the popular manga series of the same name created by Yuki Tabata. The anime’s first episode premiered in Japan October 3. Viewers outside of Japan can watch the anime series with English subtitles by Crunchyroll or in English dub by Funimation.
