Anime Adaptation of ‘Asobi Asobase’ to have 12 Episodes and Mini Anime

It was confirmed in the official website of the Asobi Asobase anime that it will have a total of 12 episodes. The first episode began airing on AT-X, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and BS11 on July 8 and on July 10 on TV Aichi and Sun TV. It based on the manga series of the same name created by Rin Suzukawa.

The website also announced that it will have a total of four Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases. A new mini anime will be included in the third and fourth volumes. They are expected to ship once a month which will start on September 26.

Asobi Asobase is a comedy “surreal gag” series which is center around three classmate who play games together: from card games, traditional hand games, board games, and so on. One of the girls name Kasumi is very good at these games, but hates them because she is always the loser when she plays with her older sister. Olivia is a girl who is American descent but raised in Japan, and pretends to be bad at Nihonggo. Hanako is a girl with bright personality and wears her hair in pigtails. Regardless of her positive attitude, she’s still having trouble in becoming the kind of normal person that she really wanted to be.
