Promo Video for 'Revue Starlight' Anime Series Revealed!

A new promotional video for the anime series of the Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight franchise was officially uploaded on its official Youtube channel on Wednesday. It is slated to premiere on July 13 in Japan.

In addition to the PV, they have also uploaded a “Revue Song” promotional video that features the songs for the first three episodes.

Just to give you an idea of what is this all about, the franchise is centered on “Starlight” which is the name of the song and dance revue group quite popular internationally. Main characters Karen and Hikari made a promise to each other during their younger years that they will stand together on stage.

When they were both 16 years old, both were distant from each other as Hikari transferred to a different. Karen however, kept true to her word was very enthusiastic on her lesson to reach her dream. The two are destined to meet again as both of them along with the other “Stage Girls” compete in a mysterious audition to be part of this popular revue.

Yuri Kuma Arashi and Brothers Conflict director Tomohiro Furukawa will be directing this upcoming anime series at Kinema Citrus, while Tatsuto Higuchi and Hiroyuki Saita will be working on the series script writing and character designs respectively.

A smartphone game for the franchise is also in development by Ateam titled as Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight –Re LIVE-.
