Comedy Manga ‘Back Street Girls’ Returns from Hiatus!

Posted in: Anime News

It was confirmed in this year’s 29th issue of Young Magazine that the comedy manga series Back Street Girls has returned on Monday. It was announced previously in the magazine’s 16 issue that the manga will be taking from hiatus. Consider it as a double celebration as the anime adaptation of the manga will be aired on July 3!

Created by Jasmin Gyuh for Kondasha’s Weekly Young Magazine in March 2015, the series centers on three yakuza men who were forced by their boss, also a producer, to become part of an idol group. The biggest challenge for them now is hiding their true selves from their growing fans.

The manga series sold more than 450,000 copies in print with its 10th volume released last March.
