Yutaro Miura Performs the Ending Theme of Dropkick on My Devil!

New details have been revealed for the upcoming anime adaptation of the “Jashin-chan Dropkick” a.k.a. “Dropkick on My Devil!” manga. Released on the official Twitter account of the series, the post confirmed the anime’s premiere date and ending theme song performer.

The date for the anime’s debut is July 9 and will be aired on BS-Fuji at a midnight time slot. Following this, the anime will be aired on different channels including Tokyo MX, Sun TV, Chiba TV, Tochigi TV, Mie TV, and Nishinippon Broadcasting. Also confirmed is that the episodes will be 30 minutes long. What’s more, there will be an exclusive stream of the upcoming series on Amazon Prime Video, though there is no confirmation on which regions the anime will stream yet.

As for the ending theme song, it is titled “Home Sweet Home!” and is Yutaro Miura. This will be the first time that Miura will be performing a theme song for an anime. He is the one to have written the lyrics of the song while Hyadain composed the song.

The opening theme of the series, on the other hand, is titled Ano Ko ni Dropkick"/“Dropkick to that Girl” and is performed by cast members Aina Suzuki, Nichika Omori, Miyu Kubota, Yurie Kozakai, Chiaki Omigawa, Rico Sasaki, and Riho Iida as their respective characters.

On that note, the cast members are as follow. However, it should be noted that the character names are not fully confirmed:

The story of the series tells of a college student named Yurine Hanazono. She manages to summon a demon from the underworld named Jashin-chan and now the two must live together in a run-down apartment in Tokyo’s Jinbōchō district. However, Jashin-chan learns that is Yurine dies, she can return to the underworld. Thus, begins the daily life of the duo with Jashin-chan constantly plotting ways to kill Yurine.

Acting as director of the series is Hikaru Sato, the director behind “Chronicles of the Going Home Club”, and he will be working at Nomad. Taking charge of the script are Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Momoko Murakami.

For the character designs, that task will be taken by Makoto Koga, who previously worked on the “Aria the Animation” series and will also be acting as chief animation director. Kouichirou Natsume, who majorly worked in planning for a variety of series will be acting as the executive producer for this series. Lastly, for the music, that will be taken on by Yuki Kurihara and Yuzuru Jinma.

The manga which the series is based on was written and illustrated by Yukiwo. Released in Flex Comix’s web magazine Comic Meteor in April 2012, there will be a 10th volume to be released by Holp Shuppan on June 9.
