The upcoming “100 Sleeping Princes and the Kingdom of Dreams” anime adaptation now has a confirmed voice actress to play as the heroine Shujinko.
Taking on the role is Haruka Kimura, a voice actress known for her roles in “Kurenai” and “The Slayers Revolution” as Yamie and Ozel respectively. Addressed by the person who summoned her as “Princess of Troimea” though she has no knowledge of being a princess she reluctantly embarks on her adventure.
Based on a puzzle RPG mobile game of the same name, the full story tells of a young woman who has been transported to the fantastical world of dreams and setting off on a journey in order to defeat “yumekui” (“dream-eaters”) so to awaken handsome princes. The anime adaptation for the work is set to debut in July 2018 but no staff has been confirmed yet.
Other cast/characters, however, have already been confirmed for the series such as Daiki Yamashita, the voice behind Izuku Midoriya in “My Hero Academia” and Sakamichi Onoda in “Yowamushi Pedal” playing as Navi. Navi is described as a character who is often mistaken for s stuffed toy due to his fluffy appearance. However, he is the strange being who had summoned Shujinko into the dream world and is the one who refers to her as the “Princess of Troimea”.
Also included is Kenichi Suzumura as Avi. Suzumura is known for a variety of roles including as Hikaru Hitachiin in “Ouran High School Host Club” and Atsushi Murasakibara in “Kuroko’s Basketball.”
His character for the series, Avi is described to be a serious-minded but slightly foul-mouthed prince who excels at swordsmanship. What’s more, he’s highly proud of his kingdom and dislikes it when people say his nation is a rustic place out in the boonies. In the story, he was awakened by the power of Shujinko’s prayers and helps her in her quest to defeat the dream-eaters.
