World Cosplay Summit – USA Preliminaries to Happen in Anime Expo in July

Here is your chance to represent the country in the official USA Preliminaries of the World Cosplay Summit. This will be held during Anime Expo in July and the winning pair will represent the USA during the World Cosplay Summit finals in Nagoya, Japan.

To give you an idea on what the World Cosplay Summit is all about, here is a video of last year’s USA representative.

This annual cosplay competition began in 2003 in Osu, Nagoya, Japan and is participated by 30 pairs from different parts of the world. If you are interested to join, you are free to send in your application here.

Here are the requirements for you to join this competition:

All enties must be teams of two (2) people.
All content and source material may NOT be meant for mature (or 18+) audiences only.
All entrants must have either proof of permanent residence in the United States or proof of citizenship.
All entrants must be available for the Championships in Japan from July 29, 2017 to August 6, 2017
*Note: While you will only need one costume for WCS USA, the Championships in Japan will require 3 costumes (one for the parade, one for the Championship, and one for Courtesy Visits).
All entrants must be 18 years old or older.
