North America Open Beta for ‘BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’ Game to Happen This Month

Get ready fighting game fans! It was announced on Wednesday by Arc System Works that the open beta test for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will happen on May 9. This North American open beta will be launched for the PlayStation 4 and will be in simultaneous with the open beta in Japan.

Those who digitally pre-ordered the game will have game access until May 12. Open beta for all users will run from May 12 to 14. During this period, players will be able to use the following 20 characters:

Ragna
Jin
Noel
Makoto
Rachel
Hazama
Azrael
Iron Tager
No 13
Es

Persona 4 Arena

Yu
Yosuke
Chie
Yukiko
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late

Hyde
Linne
Waldstein

You will be able to access four modes during the beta: Tactics Mode (Tutorial and Practice), Casual Lobby, and VS Mode (either CPU or a second player). The VS mode is only available for the those who pre-ordered the game via the PlayStation Store.

The game will be released in Japan on May 31 which will then be followed by the North America region on June 5. Confirmation of an English dub of the game was revealed during a live stream presentation by Arc System Works America.

The North America region will have a Collector’s Edition available which contain a 52-page art book, soundtrack, four acrylic character standees and a special. Pre-order for this edition will start on May 4.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles.
