Orlando TV Station Reveals Plans of a Pokemon Theme Park Area in Universal Studios

A report released on Wednesday by Orlando-based TV station WFTV revealed that Universal Studios has plans of creating a Pokemon area in KidZone. The report then continued with Donkey Kong and Mario Kart included in the plans.

The recently purchased 400-acre lot is planned for a new park which a majority of Nintendo’s properties will be placed. The Pokemon area is slated to be open at 2020 while the entire Nintendo area will open in 2023. Nintendo areas are planned for Universal Studios Hollywood and Japan first.

A Super Nintendo World will open at Universal Studios Japan and is expected to be completed before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
