April has arrived and that means the time has come for Spring 2018 anime to arrive. Whether it be new anime or anime gearing up for a new season or second cour, there’s always something to check out for the season. With every season there is either a good amount of new anime or a whole bunch to choose from. In this case it’s the latter, for this list, the following anime are some anime that’s got some potential to it.
10. Devil’s Line
In this world, vampires exist, and the government has no knowledge of this. They are able to blend in with the humans and have no true need to drink blood. That is unless they get a craving or angry, then that is when they become uncontrollable monsters. The focus for this tale is a half vampire by the name of Anzai and a normal high school girl named Tsukasa.
9. Comic Girls
This is the simple tale of a group of girls and their daily-lives as up-and-coming female mangaka in a dormitory.
8. Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori
Set in a popular Japanese-style cafe named “Rokuhoudou”, this story takes focus on four specialists. There is tea specialist and cafe owner Sui, latte artist Gure, sweets specialist Tsubaki and last but not least, cooking specialist Tokitaka. For any who visit the cafe, they not only receive a warm greeting and tea, but are also often helped with any problems they may have.
7. Mahou Shoujo Ore
Saki Uno is a 15-year-old girl who is a newbie idol in love with her best friend’s brother, Mohiro Mikage. One day she bumps into a yakuza man who reveals that her mother was a former magical girl and he is in fact her mascot. While shocked with the revelation, Saki discovers Mikage being kidnapped and sets off to help him.
When faced with the kidnappers who are
demons that look like burly men with cute squirrel heads, she makes the decision to contract the yakuza man and become a magical girl to save her love. Rather than transform into a magical girl like she had expected however, she transforms… into a muscular man in magical girl clothes?!
6. Piano no Mori (TV)
This is a tale of music and growth involving two young boys named Kai and Syuhei. They are as different as can be with Kai having been born the son of a prostitute but is able to play an abandoned piano in the forest which was thought to be unplayable. Meanwhile with Syuhei, he is the son of two prestigious pianists and has been practically fed the world of piano since young. Though as different as the two can be, upon meeting, they find a common bond in the piano and forge a path of friendship and growth through it.
5. Hisone to Maso-tan
Hisone Amakasu is a straightforward and innocent girl who struggles with the fact that she sometimes hurts people unintentionally by her innocent words and decided to join the Air Self-Defense Force in hopes of distancing from others. Now a Self-Defense Force rookie stationed at the Air Self-Defense Force’s Gifu Base, she one day encounters something that changes her life.
Hidden in the base was the “OTF” dragon who has chosen Hisone as his pilot and had sealed her fate with their first flight. However, it is said that dragons have a key to the future of the world…
4. Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi
This is the story of a female college student named Aoi. She is a girl who not only prides herself in her cooking but has the ability the ability to see beings called ayakashi like her late grandfather. One day while feeding some ayakashi, she ends being kidnapped by a god and the master of the “Tenshinya” (Heavenly Inn). According to him, her grandfather owed him a debt, so as compensation, she must marry him! Aoi heavily refuses and insists instead that she work off the debt at the inn.
3. Gegege no Kitarou (2018)
The classic supernatural anime from the 1960’s has now returned and is set within modern-day Japan. With the passage of time, people have forgotten all about youkai. Just because they have forgotten however, does not mean that there are no more supernatural phenomenon occurring. When people are unable to explain these phenomenon with science however, panic begins to arise. Amidst the panic and confusion, 13-year-old girl Mana Inuyama makes the decision to settle the situation by sending a letter via the “Yokai Post,” and summoning Kitaro.
2. Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii
A gaming crazed otaku and a fujoshi reunite for the first time since middle school upon discovering that they are working at the same company. In the aftermath of some post-work drinking sessions, the two ends up as a couple. Thus, begins the tale of their dating life, the question is, will it be a perfect relationship for the two?
1. Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai
Mitsuyoshi Tada is a high school boy who has never known what is like to fall in love. When out taking pictures of the cherry blossoms in full bloom one day, he meets Teresa Wagner. A transfer student from Luxembourg, she had gotten lost after being separated from her travel companion. Deciding to help her, Mitsuyoshi brings her to his grandfather’s coffee shop.
