Secret of Mana 2 by Square Enix is followed at #2 with Splatoon 2 and IDOLiSH7 Twelve Fantasia (Including Limited Editions) at #3 and #4 respectively.

It was announced by CAPCOM that the latest game of the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter: World has sold out over more than six million copies (both in physical and in digital) formats worldwide. This is so far the only game in the company’s history to have that total amount of copies sold in just a few weeks.

The Monster Hunter franchise began in 2004. More than 46 million copies of the games were sold from the its first game until the recent.

Monster Hunter: World officially released worldwide on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 26. In its first three days, around 5 million copies have been shipped worldwide which officially sets a new record for the franchise.

Unlike the previous games, Monster Hunter: World is an open world game which features a “living ecosystem” which allow players to destroy and use elements of their environment to their advantage as well as the use of monster behaviors against other monsters.
