A new update is revealed on the official website for the “Kakuriyo Yadomeshi” a.k.a. “Afterlife Inn Cooking” anime adaptation and that is on the theme song performers for the series.
The anime will be making its premiere in April and will be broadcasted on Tokyo MX, BS Fuji and other networks. Performing the opening theme of the series which is titled “Tō no Manimani,” is Nao Touyama, the performer behind the “GATE” ending theme. On the note of ending themes, the ending them for the series is titled “Sai color” and will be performed by Manami Numakura.
Taking charge of the production as director is Yoshiko Okuda, the director behind “Kakuriyo Yadomeshi.” Tomoko Konparu, known to have worked on the “NANA” series, is taking charge of the series composition of the series. Designing the characters is Youka Satou, who worked on “Utano☆Princesama.” Takuroui Iga, the composer behind “Fuuka” will be working on the music composition of the series and will have Flying Dog is handling the music production.
The story for the series tells of Aoi, a female college student who prides herself on her cooking but also has the ability to see spirits like her late grandfather. When feeding some agricultural spirits one day, a god and the master of the “Tenshinya” (Heavenly Inn) suddenly appears and takes her away. Apparently, her grandfather owed him a debt and in order to pay it he says he will be taking her as his bride. Aoi however is heavily against this and declares that she will pay back the debt by working at the Tenshinya instead.

Manaka Iwami will play the kappa (water spirit) character Chibi.
The novel which the series is based on was launched in 2105. It was written by Midori Yūma, illustrated by Laryha and serialized by Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko. The seventh volume of the series was just released by Kadokawa last November and as of October, the series has more than 340,000 copies in print.
Currently a manga adaptation of the series is being illustrated by Wako Ioka and had a third volume shipped last November.
