Shoji Kawamori’s newest and upcoming anime, “Jūshinki Pandora” a.k.a. “Heavy Divine Unit Pandora” has a new character/cast member revealed on its official website. In addition to this there will be a stage event to be held at AnimeJapan 2018 to further promote the series and will be featuring the director himself.

“Jūshinki Pandora” is a new mecha actions series hat takes place far off into the future in 2031. A crisis had occured called the Xianglong (Shanron or Soaring Dragon) Crisis caused by a next generation energy device named the “Quantum Reactor.” Rather than replacing the dwindling environmental resources, it instead released an unknown energy which resulted in a complete change in the global environment overnight.

Because of this, both living things, aside from humans, and machines to undergo a unique evolution and B.R.A.I. (Biological Revolutionary of Accelerated Intelligence) entities were brought into existence. Now with humanity at risk because of these beings, humans battle against them with M.O.E.V. (Multi-purpose Organic Evolution Vehicle) variable units.

At the time of the crisis, Leon Lau was at the center of things and now seven years later, he lives with Chloe Lau under the “family pact” in the wilderness on the edge of the “absolute defence city” Neo Xianglong. Together the awkward Leon and busybody Chloe live day-by-day trying to forget the past but a looming threat draws near.

The newest character introduced for the series is the sniper Dag Horvat. He will be voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda, the voice behind Nathan Seymour/Fire Emblem in “Tiger & Bunny.” Dag is described as both a women and cat lover who sets the mood and always has a smile and joke at hand. He earns a living as a bounty hunter, having sharp and cold eyes like a beast when seeking its prey.

For the previously revealed cast/characters, they include:

Tomoaki Maeno as Leon Lau
Nao Tōyama as Chloe Lau
Kana Hanazawa as Queenie Yō

As for the staff of the series, there is:

Directing: Hidekazu Sato
Studio: Satelight.

In regards to the stage event to be held at AnimeJapan 2018 for the upcoming series, it will be open on March 24 and will be featuring not only Kawamori but also voice actors Tomoaki Maeno and Tsuda. Any further details may be found on the official website.
