Synopsis
Michiru Amatsuki has just moved into Tokyo to pursue a new career. Along with her move she had made the decision to live in a sharehouse and has moved into the women-only share house “Stella House Haruno” where she meets people of different ages and occupations.
The Good
First off, graphic wise, the episode does a highly smooth job, especially on the emphasis of the whole alcohol pouring and presentation of food. The same goes for the background and characters as it gives off this bright and fun vibe to it. Out of all the characters though, the protagonists comes off as rather charming. Though she has the whole optimistic and country girl vibe to her, she makes it rather endearing in her portrayal especially given her quirk reveal at the end. Basically, there’s good art, charming and fun characters, a simple but highly potential plot and overall solid theme to it.
The Bad
For one thing, outside of the main protagonists, the other characters seem to be rather typical really. From the mature caretaker to the drunkard, there isn’t much dynamic given to them as of yet, but there is potential at least given the one comedic scene over them remembering how their hopes and dreams got dashed when entering Tokyo. What’s more given that it is an all female cast, it is to be expected that there is just a touch of suggestiveness given how, well, curvy most of the girls are designed. Another thing, there are some scenes which make either the background or the characters seem a tad extra. This is mostly a nitpick but the whole easily impressed protagonist and sparkle background can get just a little much.
Conclusion
Overall this is a series that has a good potential for some solid comedy, a good friendship story and a fun appreciation for alcohol and food. The plot is rather simple but personally, that adds the charm to it even if the characters are mostly rather typical and not that dynamic as of yet. In terms of graphics and music, as said the graphics hold a nice touch for the episode though it is mostly typical and the music was fine, really, it was just a fun episode and left a highly positive impression.
