‘Bakemonogatari’ Novel Gets Manga Adaptation to be Released in March

NisiOisin announced in his official Twitter account on Wednesday that his popular novel Bakemonogatari will be getting a manga adaptation to be launched in the 15th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine on March 14.

The series is centered on a loner and failing student named Koyomi Araragi who meets different girls along the way with each having their own supernatural “oddity”.

The Monogatari novel series began in 2006 with Bakemonogatari and its “final season” ended in 2014 with Zoku Owarimonogatari. Although the main series seemed to have ended. A number of “Off Season” novels were released namely Wazamonogatari, Orokamonogatari, Nademonogatari, and Musubimonogatari. The new “Monster Season” series novel titled “Shinobumonogatari” was released last July.

It was announced in a flier in the Owarimonogatari (Ogi Dark) Blu-Ray Disc that the “final season” 2014 novel Zoku Owarimonogatari is green-lit for an anime adaptation this year. No details have been revealed yet on what the anime’s format will be.
