The “SoulCalibur VI” is announced to have a new system via new gameplay trailer at PSX 2017. Announced by Bandai Namco, there is also further details release on characters Mitsurugi and Sophitia.
“SoulCalibur VI” is the latest entry of the premier weapons-based, head-to-head fighting series. In the game, battles and movements are tuned so that players can execute visceral and dynamic attacks with ease. Set in the 16th century the story continues the epic struggle of warriors searching for the legendary Soul Swords but this time revisit the events of the original SoulCalibur to uncover hidden truths.

The new system introduced for the game is an attack and battle system called the “Reversal Edge” system. When activated it is possible to continuously defend against the opponent’s moves and turn the tides with a sharp counterattack. Should a player be able to land a Reversal Edge, they will experience an intense cut-scene.
As for the other features to be found in the game there is the Unreal Engine, the first ever 3D character models, visual effects and stages rendered for the franchise. Then the is New Battle Mechanics wherein players can read an opponent’s attack and strategize the best time to use the new system. And last but not least is multiple fighting styles wherein a player is able to choose from a worldly roster of warriors, each with their own deadly weapons, fighting styles, and visual flare.
