The Latest Batman Ninja Trailers Reveals a Samurai Dark Knight

More is revealed for the upcoming “Batman Ninja” film as new trailers are released for the weak. Featuring more villains and heroes as they are dragged back to the Sengoku Era in Japan, a new visual for the film is also revealed.

The story of the film sets itself during the Warring States Period in feudal Japan. It is in this time period that Batman and his allies finds themselves transported to. They are not the only ones to have traveled back however as the Joker too placed himself in the Warring States period in order to rewrite history by usurping Oda Nobunaga’s place as Warlord.

The film is set to be released in 2018 in Japan and is directed by Junpei Mizusaki, the opening animation director of the Jojo Bizarre Adventures” series. Writing the screenplay for the work is Kazuki Nakashima, known to have worked on the screenplay of “Gurren Lagann the Movie – The Lights in the Sky Are Stars.”

Takashi Okazaki, the current character designer of action series, “Garo: Vanishing Line” will be taking said role for the production. As for the music of the film, that will be composed by Yuugo Kano, the composer of the “Psycho Pass” series. Lastly is the animation production to be taken charge by Kamikaze Douga who previously worked on the animation production of the “Amanatsu” OAV.

As for the cast there is Koichi Yamadera to play as the Dark Knight himself, having played a variety of roles including Spike Spiegel in “Cowboy Bebop” and Donquixote Rosinante / Corazón in “One Piece.” Playing as the psychotic Joker is Wataru Takagi, the voice behind Genjo Sanzo in “Saiyuki” and Obito Uchiha in “Naruto.”

Ai Kakuma who played the role of Mayumi Kurase in “Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma” and Isuzu Sento in “Amagi Brilliant Park” will be taking on the role of the antihero Catwoman in the film. Last but not least, playing the role of Harley Quinn is Rie Kugimiya, the voice behind Kagura in Gintama and Nora in “Noragami.”

Co-created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger and published by DC Comics, Batman first made his appearance in Detective Comics #27 in May, 1939. This will be the first anime work involving the bat themed hero.
