An Official Website Opens for Precure's 15th Anniversary

As of November 30, 217, the “Precure” franchise’s first series “Futari wa Pretty Cure” a.ka. “Pretty Cure” reaches its 15th anniversary. In commemoration of this, an official website has been opened for the 2004/2005 series.

Featured in the website are comments placed by main cast members Yokko Honna, the voice behind Nagisa Misumi/Cure Black, Yukana, the voice behind Honoka Yukishiro/Cure White. Along with them are staff members who include producer Takashi Washio, and series director Daisuke Nishio.

In addition to this, the site also features a look back to the previous series with details and histories on the works. The most recent “Precure” series is “Kirakira PreCure a la Mode” which was released in February 2017. Currently the series has around 40 episodes. Genereally the “Precure” frnachise is known as a Japanese magical girl anime metaseries created by Izumi Todo and produced by Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, Asatsu-DKand Toei Animation.

For each series the story tells of a group of magical girls known as Pretty Cures who battle against evil forces. The complete list of the franchise’s series is as follows:

“Futari wa Precure” which ran from 2004 to 2005 had a total of 45 episodes, a manga adaptation along with a second series, another manga work and a number of video games and films. The series took focus on high school girls Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro. Upon meeting the Garden of Light’s Mipple and Mepple, the girls are given the ability to transform into the emissaries of light; Cure Black and Cure White. Together they battle against the forces of the Dark Zone: a dimension of evil that has encroached on the Garden of Light and is now about to do the same to the Garden of Rainbows, Earth.
