“Kakegurui” places down a new bet as an a live-action adaptation is revealed for the series. Set for January 2018 it will be joining the “Drama-ism” programming block on MBS (Mainichi Broadcasting System) and TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System).
Its time slot is set for Sundays during the 24:50 time slot (actually at 12:50 AM JST on Monday morning) beginning on January 14, 2018 for MBS. And for TBS it is a 25:28 time slot (actually at 1:28 AM JST on Wednesday morning) beginning on January 16, 2018. The series already has a confirmed staff member with Tsutomu Hanabusa as the director.
“Kakegurui” is a Japanese manga series that was written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Tōru Naomura, serialized by Square Enix’s Gangan Joker from 2014 and is licensed in English by Yen Press. The manga from its two licenses has a total of 12 volumes released and is currently running.
The anime adaptation of the series came out in July 2017 and ran for a total of 12 episodes before it ended in September 2017.The work was directed by yuichiro Hayashi, written by Yasuko Kobayashi and produced by studio MAPPA.

This is a story set in the prestigious Hyakkaou Private Academy. There are many privileged students who attend the academy, but there is a strange curriculum which the academy follows. Here, one is no ranked by how smart they are, how athletic they are, nor how appealing they are. In this school, one is ranked by their ability to gamble. Should they win high, they are treated as kings, but lose big and they may as well be the pets of the student boy.
Entering into this unorthodox school is a seemingly sweet looking girl by the name of Yumeko Jabami. While she may not look like it, she is in fact a gambling addict. Now she has arrived to teach the students what a true high roller looks like.
