Starting on November 25 is an exhibition event meant for the new shoujo series, “Konohana Kitan.” Set to be held at GoFa, Tokyo, there will be different features to enjoy.
These features include a variety of illustrations of the anime and manga as well as different stationery items. There will also be items that hold autographs from the creator herself as well as a collaboration cafe for the event. This will be lasting until January 1, 2018.
Originally a manga create by Sakuya Ayano the series was published in Ichijinsha’s yuri manga magazine Comic Yuri Hime S under the name “Konohana-tei Kitan” in 2009. However, after a one year run, the series went into hiatus before it was rebooted in December 2014 in Gentosha’s seinen manga magazine Comic Birz. In its first run the series had a total of 2 volumes, now the series a total of 5 volumes released.
The anime adaptation just released on October 4, 2017 and currently has 7 episodes released. It is directed by Hideki Okamoto, the director of “D.C. II: Da Capo II” who also works as a storyboard artist. The writer of the series is Takao Yoshioka, known to be the screenplay writer and series composer of a variety of series including, “Your Lie in April” and “(The) Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments.” Both work under studio Lerche for the production.
This is the story of Yuzu, a cheerful fox girl who begins a new life as an attendant at the traditional hot springs inn Konohanatei. While having no work experience in a high-class establishment, she enters into the job with great earnest. Under the guidance of the reliable head attendant Kiri, she is placed to work on the basics.
Though she starts off as rather clumsy, her cheerful nature and unique charm endears her to not only customers but fellow workers as well. Under the guidance of the rigid Satsuki, the carefree Natsume, the critical Ren, and the quiet Sakura—Yuzu steadily learns the trade of an inn attendant while learning to love the magical world surrounding her and the friends she’s made.
