It was revealed on Tuesday by the official website of Steins;Gate Elite that the game will be released for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch on March 15 in Japan.

Based on the gameplay stream video released by 5pb and Mages, Steins;Gate Elite is a must-have especially for fans because the scenes that are highlighted in the visual novel are now replaced by scenes from the Steins;Gate anime. Steins;Gate Elite is a major update of the original Steins;Gate visual novel. 5pb is now working together with Mages to put in new elements into this game.

This popular visual novel series centers on the adventures of Rintaro Okabe as he breaks through limits in order to change his fate and those dear to him by travelling to different world lines. The game had an anime adaptation of the same name which aired in 2011 followed by a sequel film titled Steins;Gate The Movie Load Region of Déjà vu.

Selling over more than 1 million copies, its sequel game Steins;Gate 0 is confirmed to have its own anime adaptation as well.
