TV Tokyo to Hold Huge Celebration for the 1000th Episode of ‘Pokemon’!

Pokemon has been delighting fans young and old since the 90s. Now the franchise’s anime adaptation will be reaching its 1000th episode which will be aired on November 9 in Japan. TV Tokyo, a Japanese broadcasting company has a huge party planned to celebrate this special occasion—and this means some cool gifts to the viewers!

The items that TV Tokyo will be giving away are copies of the 3DS games Pokemon Ultra Moon and Pokemon Ultra Sun, a Rotom Encyclopedia DX, the Pokemon Center Original New Nintendo 2DS LL Pikachu Edition console, a Blu-ray of Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You!, the Pokemon Z Power Ring Special Set, and the Monster Collection EX Pikachu 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt Set. Interested viewers who want to get hands on one of these prices should tune in to the anime’s 1000th episode.

It was also confirmed by TV Tokyo’s website that Japanese comedian Sunshi Ikezaki will voice Drowzee in this special episode.

A special event called “TV Anime 1000th Broadcast!! Zenyoku! Pokemon School!” will happen in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City complex on November 11. Voice actors from the anime series will be present in the event like Rica Matsumoto (Satoshi), Hitomi Kikuchi (Suiren), Kei Shindou (Lillie), Keiichi Nakagawa (Professor Kukui), and Fumiko and Takekuma (Mamane).

The campaign called “Congratulations! Anime’s 1000th Broadcast Memoraial: Shiny Winter Vacation” will begin on November 3 in participating locations. Pokemon centers will also have special items and limited editions goods available for fans including special clear files and visits from Santa Pikachu.

1000 episodes on and there seems to be no stopping the Pokemon fever!
