The Main Staff is Revealed for Tokyo Ghoul: re

Details on the main staff for Sui Ishida’s “Tokyo Ghoul:re’ are officially confirmed by this year’s 49th issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine. The series is set for 2018 and other details on the series has also been confirmed.

“Tokyo Ghoul: re” is a sequel series to the “Tokyo Ghoul” by Sui Ishida and is written and illustrated by the same person. The series has been licensed under Viz Media and has just released on October 17. There will also be an English release of the original “Tokyo Ghoul” manga as it had published its final volume on August 15.

With the sequel, the story of Haise Sasaki as he enters into teaching Qs Squad on how to be outstanding investigators. However, from having to deal with not only his students’ troublesome and his own uncertain grasp over his Ghoul powers, this assignment may be more trouble than it’s worth. His only chance is to create a team to pull through or this might just be his last assignment.

Replacing director Shuhei Morita for the anime at Pierrot is Odahiro Watanabe, a previous key animator and episode director. Chuuji Mikasamno, who worked on the original series’ composition and script will be returning for his role with the new series. As for the character design of the series, Atsuko Nakajima, who is currently working as the character designer of the upcoming series, “Sanrio Danshi”, will be replacing Kazuhiro Miwa. Lastly, credited for the animation production assistance of the new series is Pierrot++

In terms of cast, there, is no complete cast set for the series as of yet but it has been confirmed that Natsuki Hanae, who played as Ken Kaneki in “Tokyo Ghoul”, will be returning for his role.

“Tokyo Ghoul” is a dark fantasy manga series that was created by Sui Ishida and was under the serialization of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine from 2011 to 2014 with 14 volumes. The story of the series tells of a world where creatures known as “ghouls” live among humans and live off by eating human flesh. In this terrifying world the story takes focus on a college boy by the name of Ken Kaneki. In the aftermath of a deadly encounter with a mysterious, Ken finds himself forced into the world of ghouls and the struggles he must now face.
