Mengo Yokoyari is quite known for creating the manga series Scum’s Wish. The manga had its own anime adaptation which had mixed reviews from anime fans. On November 10, the manga artist will be releasing a new one-shot manga titled “School Zone” to be released in the Big Comic Superior magazine. This announcement was unveiled in the magazine’s 22nd issue on Friday.

The taglines in the magazine are translated as the following: “Thinking of death—I am a second year middle school student” and “Daily life is dull and the world is corrupt. What is my reason for living? What is my reason for not dying?”

This is the first work Yokoyari will be publishing in Big Comic Superior and this is also to commemorate the first and only compiled volume of the manga Mega Heart which will be out in stores on November 27.

Scum’s Wish not only inspired an anime adaptation, it also had a live action series which also aired in the same year.
