More Cast, Staff and Other Details are Revealed for Violet Evergarden

With the latest light novel turned fantasy series, “Violet Evergreen” setting itself for January 2018, its official website releases new details. From a new key visual to new cast and staff members, all these details have been put up on the site as of Monday.

For the already confirmed cast, they comprise of:

Yui Ishikawa as Violet Evergreen
Kouki Uchiyama as Benedict Blue
Aya Endou as Cattleya Baudelaire
Takehito Koyasu as Claudia Hoggins
Daisuke Namikawa as Gilbert Bougainvillea

As for the new cast and characters, there are two of them with firstly, Minori Chihara, the voice of Yuki Nagato in “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”, playing as the voice of Erica Brown.

Second is Haruka Tomatsu, who played the main role of Kusuo Saiki in, “The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.”, is playing the role of Iris Canary.

The story of “Violet Evergreen” sets itself in a world where at one point in time war had broken out between the North and South of Telesis. After four years the war has finally ended and a new age of peace has arrived. But for one former weapon of the battlefield named Violet Evergreen, there is something that she cannot forget from the battlefield. And that is a message from someone she holds dearly and yet she did not understand the words said.

Now she starts a new life as an Auto Memories Doll at the CH Postal Service. Having been moved by those who worked the job, being able to carry people’s thoughts and convert them into words, she begins her journey of being faced with different people’s emotions and different forms of love, all the while she searches for the meaning behind those words long ago.

Performing the opening theme, “Sincerely” for the series is TRUE while Minoru Chihara will be performing the ending theme “Michishirube.”

Upon its release, the release will be aired first on ABC Asahi, Tokyo MX1, TV Aichi, HTB Hokkaido TV, and BS11. Followed after the series will receive a worldwide streaming by Netflix. The company will stream the series inside Japan starting in January when the anime airs on Japanese television then it will be released outside of starting in spring 2018.
